Job Description

As a H/E Operator, this position requires strong operation skills, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a crane while supporting the overall operations.

Responsibilities

Safely operating a equipment to lift, move, and position metal materials within the facilityLifting and transporting metal materials using attachments such as magnets or grapples, and safely place them in designated areas or processing equipmentExperience with skid steer, mobile crane, excavator Loading and unloading trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and load securityCollaborating and communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnelConducting pre and post inspections of the crane, including overall crane maintenanceYou may be asked to operator the following heavy equipment: Crane, Shear, LoaderDuring any down time, you may be required to perform general yard maintenance, assist the rail team, and perform cleaning around the yard/department circle checks of machinery

Qualifications

Operator certification and/or experience is requiredMinimum of 1 years of experience operating in a heavy industrial settingAttention to detail and the ability to accurately position and handle different types of metal materialsSolid understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to crane operation and material handlingComfortable using various crane attachments, such as magnets or grapplesFamiliarity with metal recycling processes, materials, and specifications is advantageousMust be comfortable working outdoors and in a heavy industrial environment
