Need to be available for overtime and on weekends as needed Location Information + Located on the Tennessee River, the Decatur River Port features 212,500 sq. ft. of warehouse space. This Alabama facility primarily handles bulk and breakbulk commodities and is rail-served by Norfolk Southern. + Additional Site Information: https://www.watco.com/service/terminals/decatur-riverport-al/ Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment required in this position. + Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment. + Regularly communicate via 2-way radio with Supervisors, Team Members and customers. + Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. + Follow written Dual verification procedures on all material movements. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned.   Qualifications + High school education or general education (GED) + Must be 18 years or older + 1 or more year(s) related experience preferred but not required + Applicant must pass the General SOP testing, and Heavy Equipment function test along with Team Member demonstration checklist. + Must be able to pass and or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position. Skills and Abilities + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment. + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others. + Ability to work in all types of weather. + Ability to work the scheduled shifts required for the position and/ or overtime as needed. + Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
