We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators to work on our project located in Denver, CO and Golden, CO. **As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will contribute to our team by:** + Operate one or more various pieces of heavy equipment loading, hauling and unloading of various materials and supplies. + Operate construction equipment, such as forklift, front-end loader, and hydraulic excavators. + Operate jackhammers as needed in demolition. + Work with and assist the crews in digging ditches and trenches, grading, laying pipe, unloading materials and hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work with a backhoe, front-end loader. + Complete daily inspection report on each piece of equipment used. + Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor, and clean equipment. + Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. + Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. **What you will bring to this role** : + 2 years plus experience in Water and Wastewater construction preferred. + Experience digging underground. + Knowledge in different types of underground utilities install. + Able to dig to grade. + Ability to understand and read plans. + Operate equipment in a safe manner. + Drug free and able to pass a drug screen at all times. + Valid Drivers License Required. **Physical Requirements:** + Strength to perform average lifting of up to 35 pounds and to 50 pounds, from the ground to waist level. + Arm, hand, and finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling, and feeling—and with good eyesight. + Should be able to navigate through the work-site on a daily basis. + Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, stairs. + Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and in excavated areas. + May work around chemicals, near grinding and torching and/or near cranes, and heavy equipment. + May work in close contact with other people.
