Join our growing Earth Moving Technology team at our brand new branch in Abbotsford! This role will oversee the EMT Service operations at the Abbotsford branch, providing strong leadership and support to both shop and field service technicians. The Service Supervisor will enhance existing strategies for planning, scheduling, and performance management, driving initiatives that achieve results and ensure efficient service. The primary focus will be on consistently providing exceptional customer service across British Columbia.
Responsibilities Ensure safety procedures and guidelines are followed by technicians both in the shop and at customer sites, promoting a safe working environment. Conduct regular shop inspections to ensure safety compliance, and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Visit technicians in the field to ensure the highest quality and safety standards are met on every job. Perform truck inspections to ensure fleet safety and cleanliness. Supervise, support, and lead shop and field service technicians to foster employee engagement and high-performance teams. Manage daily scheduling of technicians, ensuring appropriate assignments to meet customer expectations and operational efficiency. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, service requests, follow-ups, and resolution of disputes. Assist technicians and customers with technical issues in person, by phone, or email; collaborate with technical support when necessary. Build strong customer relationships, proactively resolving issues or escalating to the service manager as required. Collaborate with the sales team to align service delivery with customer needs, provide technical insights, and support the achievement of sales objectives. Prepare and present service quotes for customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Open work orders and review, approve, and process service reports, time sheets, work orders, and parts requisitions. Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) levels, optimizing efforts to ensure timely completion and invoicing of all shop and field service jobs. Partner with the warranty department to ensure accurate and timely claims submissions. Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely parts ordering and availability, supporting job completion. Build strong partnership with cross divisional branch manager to enhance overall customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Promote a positive and respectful work culture, addressing personnel issues and conflicts promptly to maintain team morale and productivity. Competencies Minimum 5 years of experience as a team lead or equivalent supervisory position in the Heavy Equipment Industry. Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent considered an asset. Previous experience managing and scheduling field service technicians is preferred. Strong computer and administrative skills.
