**Job Posting: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Location: East Oakland, CA** **Company: Family-owned and Operated Construction Company** **Position: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description:** As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating loaders and excavators in a production and quarry environment. Your tasks will include loading 200 trucks per shift, ensuring they are loaded at the correct weight per contract, moving material efficiently around the yard, and performing regular safety inspections of equipment. **Responsibilities:** + Operate heavy equipment including loaders and excavators in a production, and quarry environment. + Load 200 trucks per shift and ensure they are loaded at the correct weight per contract. + Move material around the yard efficiently. + Perform regular safety inspections of equipment. **Essential Skills:** + 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (backhoes, dozers, cranes, loaders, trucks, etc.). + Experience performing basic maintenance and safety inspections on machinery. + Ability to operate equipment in a fast-paced environment. + Strong knowledge of individual equipment design and safety requirements. + High level of safety consciousness and understanding of the necessity of equipment safety. + Ability to communicate equipment issues and direct others on the job. **Work Environment:** The work environment is very industrial, with the majority of the facility being outside in the yard, surrounded by heavy machinery, loud noises, dirt, and dust. **Apply today and become a key player in our dedicated team!** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
