Heavy Truck Driver
Title: Heavy Truck Driver Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary KBR provides wholesale supply and logistics support, inventory management, commercial and government depot maintenance, and configuration management associated with the Enterprise Base Logistics contract. Job Summary The Heavy Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting materials, tools, and equipment between work locations and warehouses, operating vehicles up to 30 tons. They will follow instructions from Warehouse Supervisors/Managers, ensure timely and safe completion of tasks, and maintain vehicles in a serviceable condition. Additional duties include assisting with warehouse operations, adhering to safety protocols, and participating in inventory management. WORK SCHEDULE: M-F, weekends when required. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE ROLE. NO PER DIEM, NO UPLIFT, NO RELOCATION AVAILABLE. Roles and Responsibilities + Operates company vehicles to move materials (up to 30 tons), tools, personnel, and equipment between work locations and warehouses. + Completes tasks with the assigned vehicle in a timely and safe manner. + Conducts vehicle inspections, loads and unloads, and washes vehicles. + Ensures vehicle is maintained in a serviceable and clean condition with all discrepancies properly documented. + Observes and follows all safety rules and work instructions, including wearing required personal safety equipment. + Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from Warehouse Supervisors/Managers. + Plans and schedules kits to internal customers based on production needs. + Ensures on-time delivery of goods to customers by investigating and resolving detention issues. + Assists with picking, packing, receiving, and put-away tasks as directed by management. + Participates in weekly/annual cycle counting and ensures FIFO when relieving on-hand inventory. Physical Requirements: + Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day. + Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day. + Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. – 50 lbs. periodically. + Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically. + Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments. + Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs or more. Basic Qualifications + Must be a U.S. Citizen. + Must be able to obtain and maintain base access and/or security clearance if the project requires. + Valid Utah driver’s license. + Minimum 2 years' experience and a High School Diploma and/or GED ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Ability to obtain a DOT medical clearance. + Knowledge in using Microsoft tools (Excel - familiar with basic formulas). Preferred Qualifications + Knowledge using Maximo is a plus.
