**Job Title: Water Treatment Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator with experience in utilities and pipe operations. Entry-level experience is acceptable. The operator will handle excavators, wheel loaders, roll graders, bulldozers, finish graders, and other large construction equipment, with additional general labor tasks when not operating machinery. The primary role involves running an excavator for mainline digging of water and sewer pipelines on commercial construction sites. Familiarity with locating and navigating utilities in urban and commercial settings is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate excavators, wheel loaders, roll graders, bulldozers, finish graders, and other large construction equipment.
+ Perform general labor tasks when not operating machinery.
+ Run an excavator for mainline digging of water and sewer pipelines.
+ Lay sewer and water main pipes on commercial construction sites.
+ Locate and navigate around utilities in urban and commercial settings.
+ Operate various heavy equipment for mainline and backfill operations.
+ Perform backfilling tasks using dozers, excavators, rollers, loaders, and skid loaders.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 2 years of experience running mainline heavy equipment.
+ At least 2 years of preceding experience operating heavy equipment.
+ Experience with mainline digging, pipelaying, and topman operations.
+ Experience with backfilling excavations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
+ Willingness to unload trucks or pipe and set structures as needed.

**Work Environment**
Our team provides quality underground utility services to government agencies, cities, municipalities, and developers in Central Iowa, with municipalities comprising 80-90% of the workload. Safety is a major priority, and we offer safety incentive bonuses. We are expanding due to increased business and looking for long-term team members. Projects range from 5 to 40 feet deep, operating within OSHA guidelines and utilizing trench boxes. Effective communication with team members is crucial. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt (no sleeveless), and steel-toe shoes. PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, vests, and gloves will be provided. Work hours are from 7am-6pm, with no weekend work, but heavy overtime may be required during the week.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Nevada, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
