Heavy Vehicle Compliance Officer

About the role
As the Heavy Vehicle Compliance Officer, you will oversee all aspects of heavy vehicle compliance as governed by the Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations (NHVL).  Your extensive administrative experience navigating the operations of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), and your ability to demonstrate aspects of maintaining compliance will be heavily sought after.

This role is based at either our Head Office at Wellcamp or our Wacol Offices - Qld.

Main Responsibilities

Ensuring management are updated on compliance activities such as driver training, maintenance inspections and vehicle compliance, include any non-conformanceResponsible for the registration and permits for the heavy vehicle fleetManage vehicle tracking and driver monitoring systems, including audit driver activitiesPoint of contact between the company and the National Heavy Vehicle RegulatorKeep abreast of regulation changes which impact the operation of the heavy vehicle fleet and escalate to operational managers t

About You

To be successful in this role:

Proven experience in NHVR compliance and auditing, which includes using the NHVR online portalProven experience preparing reports for managementMinimum of 3 years of experience in a similar roleExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityExcellent prioritisation and time management skills

Qualifications (Desirable)

Certificate II/III in Transport and LogisticsAccredited – NHVRASStatements of Attainment in Implementation or Application of Fatigue Management StrategiesCertification in First Aid including CPRConstruction White Card Queensland
