Roush has an immediate unique opportunity for a full-time CDL A Heavy Wrecker Driver to operate heavy-duty wreckers to recover disabled commercial vehicles.  This position is based out of Portland, Oregon and will have up to 50% national travel involved.  Relocation package is available for the selected candidate so please apply for next steps if you interested and qualified!

As a Heavy Wrecker Driver, you will be responsible for:

Recovery of disabled commercial vehiclesSafely and efficiently operating a heavy wrecker in its full capacityAssisting engineering in testing concept and prototype componentsObserving all posted traffic signs and drive safely with flow of trafficComplying with all applicable local traffic lawsFollowing any procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projectsComply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations

To be considered as a Heavy Wrecker Driver, you will need:

A high school diploma or equivalentA valid Class A commercial driver's license and have an excellent driving recordMinimum 3 years Class A driving (CDL A) experience of commercial / heavy duty wrecker Minimum 3 years of heavy load and oversized load hauling experienceMinimum of 3 years of mountain and winter driving experienceTo be able to pass a DOT physical examination, DOT drug screen and criminal background checkAbility and willingness to travel approximately 50% Extensive knowledge of vehicle weight displacement, limitations, and capabilities, when operating a heavy haul wreckerKnowledge of applicable laws related to the operation of the vehicle to ensure all necessary licensing and permitting is in complianceGood sense of direction with the ability to read maps and follow and take driving directionAbility to sit and drive for up to 11 hours per shiftAbility to lift or move up to 50 pounds
