​Powderbird, founded in 1973, is a leader in helicopter skiing, offering premier single-day and multi-day heli-skiing and lodging packages. Based at Snowbird Resort in Utah, we are the only permitted helicopter ski outfitter in the state. Our heli-skiing and riding adventures depart daily from our heliport located slopeside at Snowbird, and we also offer guided expeditions at destinations around the world, including the Arctic mountains of Greenland.

Our operations include a fleet of high-performance aircraft and a team of experienced guides dedicated to providing exceptional mountain experiences. When weather conditions limit helicopter access, we offer alternative full-day guided skiing at Snowbird, complete with lift line access and amenities at The Cliff Lodge. Powderbird’s unique location in the Wasatch Mountains, just 45 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, makes it an ideal place to work for those passionate about skiing and the outdoors.

Job Summary:
Powderbird is seeking a full-time seasonal Heliport Steward. This position is responsible for helping prep, cook, and present breakfast and lunch to our guests.

Schedule:

The typical schedule for this position is 8am-5pm five days a week, Tuesday - Saturday. This position will work along side the Chef.

This position will start in early-December and run through April (depending on snow).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Helps prepare, cook, and presents meals to Powderbird guests daily

Helps set up, restock, and break down dining area for meals, including refilling beverage coolers

Well versed in the making of a variety of food types

Ability to adapt & cater to specific requests

Consistently deliver high quality meals each day

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Dishwashing after meals

Wipe down tables, sweep, and mop

Overall organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of the Heliport, including guest and employee areas

Clean and restock restroom facilities

Other duties as assigned

Required knowledge, skills, and experience:

High school degree or GED equivalent required

Valid state issued driver’s license

Previous culinary experience is required

ServSafe Certification will be required

Committed to safety in all aspects of work

Previous experience in the hospitality or resort industry preferred

Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours a day

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written

Must be able to hear normal conversations in a busy, crowded environment

Vision must be within normal range to work safely and to read written information

Must have the dexterity to use all equipment and utensils normally associated with the position
