Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient IT Help Desk Specialist to support our healthcare facility’s IT operations. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional support for healthcare staff by resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues while adhering to regulatory and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide first-line support for IT-related incidents and service requests via phone, email, and in-person.
+ Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, including clinical and administrative systems.
+ Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot electronic health record (EHR) system access and functionality.
+ Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare IT security regulations in all support activities.
+ Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
+ Manage and support user accounts, including password resets and access control in Active Directory and other systems.
+ Educate staff on IT policies, system usage, and cybersecurity best practices.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
+ Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades, equipment rollouts, and migrations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
+ Certification Required: CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
+ 1-3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare or highly regulated environment.
+ Familiarity with healthcare IT systems (e.g., EHR, PACS) is a plus.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
+ Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
+ Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA.
+ Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Zendesk.
+ Additional certifications such as ITIL Foundation or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator are a plus.
