Our client, a growing semiconductor manufacturing facility, is looking for a Help Desk Coordinator to join their IT Team. This in-office position based in Hillsboro, OR, is responsible for supporting internal personnel with their day-to-day requests, issues and training with Windows PC’s, laptops, software, phones, printing etc.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

User Support

Serve as the first point of contact for employee requests, handling walk-ups, tickets, emails, and phone inquiries Resolve or escalate help desk tickets in a timely manner Provide technical support for software maintenance and troubleshooting Set up and configure equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of hardware, operating systems, and software Offer occasional off-hours support as needed Systems Support Maintain detailed records of daily data communications, problem resolutions, and installation activities Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and procedures are followed Suggest improvements for processes and systems to enhance efficiency Install and provide ongoing support for hardware, including phones, printers, desktops, laptops, and peripherals Install and support software related to deployed hardware Manage inventory and handle occasional purchasing to replenish supplies and consumables

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

High School Diploma or equivalent Proficient in Windows hardware administration Strong skills in Windows software support Basic networking knowledge (a plus) Strong communication and troubleshooting skills

BONUS SKILLS:

Command-line experience for both Windows and/or Linux Experience in web application support Strong understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, NTP, Subnetting, VLANs) Backup and recovery expertise, particularly with Veeam or DELL NetWorker
