Short Description:

Part-Time Position: The Infant Hearing Program (IHP) is seeking a Help Desk Support Rep to help troubleshoot networking and other issues with ERAVE. 

 

Complete Description:

Part Time: 20 hours per week during business hours at the client site.

Local candidates only.  In-person interview.

 

IHP is in the process of rolling-out a new on-line vital events system called the Electronic Registration for Arkansas Vital Events (ERAVE).  Primary roles and responsibilities for this position will be:

 

1.            Answer ERAVE helpdesk calls from stakeholders (Hospitals, Clinics, PCPs)

2.            Process user network access requests.

3.            Set up user profiles and provide passwords to stakeholders.

4.            Assist callers with problem resolution.

5.            Trouble shooting process interruptions.

6.            Input initial and rescreening data into ERAVE.

7.            Networking/linking issues knowledge.

 

Additional requirements include:

- Provide service and preventive maintenance activities on element exchange/baseline products (products with element exchange service and traditional maintenance philosophies; i.e., terminals, printers, personal computers, etc.).

-Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles and basic electronics.

- Read and comprehend technical service manuals and publications.

-Knowledge of basic mathematics to read and understand various gauges, meters, and measurement devices.

- Able to diagnose and repair products by replacing worn or broken parts, and making technical adjustments.

-Makes appropriate use of reference publications and diagnostic aids in resolving technical problems.

-Take active role in suggesting peripheral equipment.

-Detect and correct equipment errors.

- Prioritize and schedule own workload.

-Needs technical assistance on complex problems

- Assist in coordination of changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will

operate correctly in current and future environment.

- Provide accurate and complete answers to general use and administrative

environment questions in a timely manner.

- Implement shared software, such as operating systems, configuration management

tools, application and development tools, testing tools, compilers, and code editors.

- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.

-Manage and report time spent on all work activities.

- Follow quality standards.

- Ability to work in a team environment.

- Complete assigned tasks.

- Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
