This position is responsible for working directly with System Office staff to provide basic technology support. RESPONSIBILITIES ยท Greets visitors and responds to telephone calls; ยท Provides information regarding technology resources available; ยท Initiates and maintains customer support for computer software and application services; ยท Resolves routine problems as instructed or escalates more complex issues to appropriate personnel; ยท Responsible for LAN troubleshooting; ยท Creates and maintains E-mail and Domain Accounts for staff; ยท Assists in maintaining IT Department inventory, including additions, transfers and surplus of equipment; ยท Installs, upgrades and troubleshoots MAC and Windows personal computer hardware and software; ยท Instructs customers in correct procedures, special requirements, restrictions and supporting documentation needed to complete relevant process; ยท Ensures that training is provided for the users as new technologies are introduced; ยท Assists in identifying customer needs and working with vendors to obtain price quotes to fulfill customer technology needs; ยท Performs VoIP system moves, adds and changes; ยท Installs, maintains and troubleshoots network and local printers; ยท Configures and supports mobile devices to include cell phones and tablets; ยท Assists with setup and configuration of audio/visual equipment; ยท Configures and supports anti-virus software to include malware removal from System Office systems as needed; and ยท Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED *and* One (1) year of work related experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ยท Associates Degree in a related field ยท CompTIA Certification ยท A+ Certification TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES ยท Knowledge of computer and network hardware, operating systems, application software, and network infrastructure; ยท Knowledge of computer software configuration and customization; ยท Knowledge of the tools and techniques used in the diagnosis and resolution of computer software and hardware problems; ยท Knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems from Windows 7 forward; ยท Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs; ยท Decision making and problem-solving skills; ยท Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public; ยท Critical thinking skills; ยท Oral and written communication skills; ยท Ability to evaluate and analyze existing applications and identify deficiencies.
