POSITION SUMMARY:
Leads, coordinates, and supervises a section of the laboratory. Develops both short and long range goals in conjunction with the Lab Director to improve laboratory patient care services. Consistently demonstrates commitment and accountability for the primary responsibility of providing accurate and timely clinical lab results. Provides direction and leadership in laboratory computer applications and development. Provides advice and counsel to lab management regarding the application of computer techniques; assists in decision making processes. Responsible for operations, maintenance, and software updates on the L.I.S., Lab PC's, and networked systems. Demonstrates commitment and accountability for implementation, communication, and monitoring of the Compliance Program.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or one of the chemical or biological sciences and three (3) years or greater experience on the Laboratory's current L.I.S.
Must hold a current Florida Supervisor License(or eligible) in the respective specialty(s): ASCP Specialty Certification., AABB, NCA, or equivalent national certification is highly desirable.
