Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Austin Pathology Associates, a Sonic Healthcare USA Partner, is seeking an AP/CP Board Certified Pathologist with fellowship training in Hematopathology to join our growing hospital-based practice in Austin, TX.  The group serves three hospitals and one outpatient clinic in the Austin area. 

The position requires the ability to cover high volume, complex bone marrow and lymph node biopsies, flow cytometry, and wet hematology cases related to our busy bone marrow transplant service.  Experience with complex surgical cases, frozen sections, cytopathology, and clinical laboratory duties is required.  The candidate must be willing to serve on hospital committees and be an active participant in interdisciplinary conferences.  The candidate should have the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clinicians, administrators, and laboratory staff.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree, be board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, be board certified or eligible in Hematopathology, and be eligible for unrestricted Texas license.
