The position will appropriately document all procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization lab, utilizing specialized equipment and computer software and prepare charges for equipment used during the procedure. RESPONSIBILITIES + Arranges for transport or transports patient to and from the Cardiac Cath Lab and specialized care units including Pre/Post and CCU. + Positions patient by pushing and pulling using safe body mechanics and a slide board to guide to cardiac cath lab table. + Prepares patient for procedures with appropriate equipment and instruments. + Applies and fits the necessary monitoring equipment to patient including EKG, BP cuff, and pulse oximeter. + Charts and documents activity in Hemo system during procedures including renal angioplasty, subclavian angioplasty, femoral angioplasty, carotid angiogram, pulmonary angiography, radial access, IV contrast injections, right and left cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty and cutting balloon angioplasty, stent placement, ventriculogram, aortogram, filterwire, arthrectomy, cardiac bypass graft angiography/angioplasty/stent, rotablator, right ventricular biopsy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), septal defect closure, pericardiocentesis, intraaortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion, Impella insertion, pulmonary artery catheter (EKOS), transvenous pacemaker insertion, medrad, ostial pro stent positioning device, snares, filterwire, sheaths/introducers, radial board, coronary thrombectomy devices, arstasis, all applicable closure devices, safeguard, hemostatic patches, radial bands, femostop and other related procedures in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. + Monitors and measures vital signs such as heart rate, respirations, blood pressure and temperature and reports adverse or changing conditions to medical and clinical staff. + Transfers the patient information from the Philips Azurion 7 M20 to ISCV for Physician review. + Effective communicator with colleagues and providers regarding the preparation of complete reports and files in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. + Monitors supply levels and assists with stocking of linen and other supplies + Maintains a clean organized work are and adheres to infection control guidelines. + Adheres to established policies and workflows relating to various areas within the cardiology and neurology department. + Able to work independently and efficiently, adjusting to dynamic workflow and responding appropriately to changes in all areas worked. + Produces high quality work, while always conducting themselves in a professional manner. + Responsible for assisting with the training of new staff or students + Rotation through various areas of non-invasive Cardiology. + Prepares patient documentation and completes exams in various systems relating to stress, ecg, Holter, and eeg. + Performs stress testing under provider supervision + Performs eeg studies, ecg, Holter monitor prep, hook up, analysis, and reconcilliation. + Performs cardiac device interrogations by vendors with remote interrogation support. + Completes all work accurately and in a timely manner. + Rotates for On-call coverage as needed. + Performs any other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE + Minimum of 2 years of clinical patient care experience involving cardiac cath laboratory procedures and utilization of related specialized equipment preferred.
