HHH Operations Supervisor

Position Summary / Career Interest:The major responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to assisting the Director in overall operations of the business for both the Home Health and Hospice agencies and participating as a leader in assuring regulatory and accrediting compliance, including performance improvement activities. A major responsibility of the role is assisting with payroll and maintaining personnel files for all employees of Home Health and Hospice, and processing a weekly billing spreadsheet for billing company.

Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for preparation of accounts payable, payroll, maintaining personnel files and oversight of office functions. Processes mileage reports and phone bills to create check requests for reimbursement of field personnel. Corresponds appropriately with billing staff and payer sources on reimbursement issues. Processes accurately and efficiently claims sent by billing company on a weekly basis to correct errors, returning to the billing company as quickly as possible. Supervises assigned support staff of Hospice/Home Health. Delegates responsibilities appropriately. Scrubs software for billing errors to correct prior to month end billing cycle. Facilitates the billing, personnel files, and oversight of administrative duties of the inpatient Hospice House. Identifies need and makes recommendations for operational changes specific to Home Health and Hospice, as necessary. Assists in maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Attends and participates in committees, task forces and other meetings as directed. Facilitates communication of Hospice/Home Health clients as appropriate. Interfaces regularly with Patient Accounts, Information Technology and Finance Departments. Demonstrates competency at conflict resolution. Oversees ordering of office and nursing supplies to maintain an adequate par level as well as ordering for Hospice, HH, and House as backup. Serves as the administrator on-call related to all IT/technical situations. Supervises staff to process regulatory compliant documents." Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Graduate 1 or more years of Hospice/Home Health office work
Preferred Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree 3 or more years of Hospice/Home Health office work
Required Licensure and CertificationCertified Professional Biller (CPB) - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) within 180 Days
