This is an Engineering Technician I position located in the Smithfield Resident Engineers Office involving technical work supporting technicians and engineers as a HiCams/Office Technician. · In this position you will perform a variety of office support duties. Duties performed may include preparation of documents and reports, the use of office technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files, posting information, scanning, photocopying, etc. · In this position you will ensure all HiCams related functions are in compliance with contract agreements, standards and specifications. · You will be required the perform of a wide variety of standardized and non- standardized assignments in compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data. Lead HiCams technicians are responsible for HiCams functions including processing monthly and final estimates, checking calculations, resolving pay record and material quantity discrepancies, researching project documents, processing material prepayments. · Your work involves decision making and the use of judgment. You must perform a full range of calculations and computations and be proficient in record keeping. · Your additional duties include creating requisitions for managing inventory, administering payroll/time entry in SAP system, processing reports in SAP, reviewing project budgets in SAP, reviewing contractor’s certified payrolls for FHWA compliance and scheduling, and maintaining technician’s certifications. · In this position you will also track Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) participation and technician certifications. Work may include other office duties and responsibilities as assigned. You do not have to have a degree to qualify for this position.
