Summary:
The High-Risk Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and analytical support to the Director. The role requires partnering with various internal and external customers, including attorneys and municipalities. Critical thinking, negotiation skills, and being a self starter with common sense logic are crucial to this role. The High-Risk Specialist is required to have extensive experience and knowledge of Property Preservation, Hazard policies, Code Violations, Agency Claims guidelines, and Freedom policies.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Comprehending complex issues and developing/presenting proposed solutions to senior management mitigating loss
Extensive knowledge of all agency servicing guidelines (FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA/FHLMC) as well as standard code requirements, title requirements, property insurance claim experience, and general business knowledge
Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability thinking of multiple alternative solutions to reduce risk and loss
Strong ability to document conversations accurately and interpret data
Ability to handle a large volume of difficult files with complex issues/challenges meeting timelines and deadlines in a very fast paced environment
commend resolutions and enhancements to procedures that will reduce timelines, identify process gaps, and limit costs
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Strong understanding of FHA, VA and GSE Default Servicing Guidelines
Understanding of the Default Life Cycle of a loan based on insurer and investor guidelines

Ability to effectively present information to management
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University preferred and minimum (5) years of training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
