District located in Moncks County, SC Position: High School Counselor Start Date: 2/3/25 Length: Remainder of 24/25 SY Shift: M-F | 37.5 hr/wk Classroom Openings/setting: - High School GENERAL SUMMARY: Under occasional supervision, performs school counseling work diversified in nature, with the goal of increasing the academic, career, social, and emotional strengths of each student; assists in building community capacity to participate in academic and personal change that impacts students’ growth. School counselors should possess the knowledge, abilities, skills and attitudes necessary to plan, organize, implement and evaluate a comprehensive, developmental, results-based school counseling program that aligns with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model and the South Carolina Comprehensive Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program Model. Reports to Principal. Requirements/Credentials: Job requires a Master’s degree and South Carolina certification in school (guidance) counseling.
