High-Speed Electronics Design Engineer

In the role as High-Speed Electronics Design Engineer in the Video Design Centre Electronics Integration team, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will be a key contributor in designing digital Video and Audio collaboration systems delivering high-end professional meeting room solutions enriching the virtual collaboration space.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

Design high-speed digital Video and Audio collaboration solutions utilizing the latest SoC architectures, LPDDR5 memories and high-speed interconnect technologies in collaboration with key chip vendors

Create and influence system specification documents for areas such as electronics architectures, physical interfaces, connectivity, power delivery, thermal design, etc. in close collaboration with our systems engineering team

Carry out early technical feasibility studies identifying co-existence and signal integrity issues across technologies

Support throughout the full hardware lifecycle from requirements analysis, architecture and concept validation, integrate hardware in the target product, and lastly facilitate design validation testing in preparation for Type Approval and first customer shipments.

Plan your own work and provide status and progress reports

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

 Have a relevant degree within electronics engineering

Have a fundamental high-speed design understanding with a solid experience background from related industry areas

Can drive the architectural design integration of several complex high-end SoC’s into high-speed electronics product solutions with practical experience

Master analysis and simulation methodologies for assessment of high-speed designs covering constraints management, IBIS models, eye diagrams & PDN

Have a methodical approach to the full hardware design lifecycle, working to a structured hardware process

Can communicate effectively across different disciplines as well as liaising with suppliers of key components both verbally and in written form

Can collaborate with others or operate on personal tasks to troubleshoot technical problems

Can schedule work and manage time in keeping with project timescales and budgets
