Description
Summary:
This is a trainee position. You will train for the first year to develop the technical and business skills to drive your geographical area's business strategy to accelerate growth in your assigned business. This may include Industrial Components, Power Control Products, Automation, Software or Services Solutions. You will eventually serve as the technical liaison between Rockwell Automation, distributor sales resources and our customers.
Reports to: Automation Solutions Group Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
+ A Degree in Business, Engineering, or relative work experience
+ MS Office Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Engineering Degree

+ Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Working Conditions:
+ Conditions vary and may include industrial, warehouse, office, and external environments. Some activities will include climbing, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office time may include sitting for extended periods.
+ The position involves travel.

Essential Job Functions:
A specialist is an integral member of the distributor’s sales and support team. A distributor specialist is a full-time sales, technical, and commercial focal point for customers and for Rockwell Automation Business Units. Specialists must demonstrate competencies for each of the specialist groups they support.
Suggested primary and support responsibilities for specialists include:
+ Acting as a full-time technical and commercial focal point for customers, distributor, and Rockwell Automation
+ Resolving issues to increase customer satisfaction
+ Communicating issues to (Sales Managers, Domain Experts, and Business Units)
Growing the sales of products and services above market levels:
+ Identifying customer needs, proposing solutions, and closing orders in assigned planning segments and related services
+ Finding opportunities for bundling of complementary products and services
Leading and supporting the distributor organization to proactively implement the business plan:
+ Understanding competitive forces, market conditions, and areas for growth
+ Implementing marketing and promotional programs for products and services
Achieving and maintaining necessary technical and commercial competencies:
+ Demonstrating competencies in both pre-sale and post-sale activities
+ Attending training to achieve necessary competencies and skill development

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $60000 to $80000 annually.
