Ventia's Sydney Water High Voltage Contract delivers specialized operations and maintenance services for Sydney Water's extensive portfolio of critical High Voltage assets, ranging from 3.3kV to 33kV. We are currently seeking a High Voltage Engineer to lead and mentor a team, offering technical expertise and guidance.

About the role
The High Voltage Engineer will deliver proactive service for our client Sydney Water and the three Regional Delivery Consortia (RDC’s) who provide Electrical and Mechanical services to Sydney Water across their three regional areas - North, West and South. You may be required to travel across Sydney Water’s entire operational area, which spans from Warriewood in the north, Mount Victoria in the west, to Shellharbour in the south.

What we are looking for:
Electrical Engineering qualifications (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in HV equipment maintenance. Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures, including health, safety, and environmental regulations. Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical issues efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client, team, and management interactions. Proven experience managing maintenance projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting. Experience in high-voltage plant construction and understanding of Single Line Diagrams and electrical control wiring diagrams. Valid driver’s license and NSW Electrical Supervisors Certificate or Electrical Contractors Licence.
