High Voltage Jointing Specialist

Prysmian Cables and Systems USA LLC is seeking multiple High Voltage Jointing Specialists to work safely in energized manholes to take partial discharge measurements, inspect racking anodes,

underground cable systems, link boxes, and perform necessary repairs. Interconnect and terminate high voltage XLPE (cross linked polyethylene) cables with voltages of 130kV to 500kV. Install accessory components that are comprised of parts that make up click-fit joint cable systems and cable termination systems, which include all bonding, clamping, fiber optics, and grounding. Position reports to 700 Industrial Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, with the ability to work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. May live anywhere in the U.S.

Employer requires 4 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, High Voltage Jointing Specialist, Project Manager, Petroleum Mechanic, or other acceptable related alternate occupation. Work or academic experience must have included: installing, repairing conductor splicing, and terminating high voltage and extra high voltage accessory components to cables; providing technical support and assistance in the testing of cable systems according to customer specifications; working in energized manholes to take partial discharge measurements, inspecting racking anodes, underground cable systems, and link boxes; and performing necessary repairs; interconnecting and terminating high voltage XLPE (cross linked polyethylene) cables; installing accessory components that are comprised of parts that make up click-fit joint cable systems and cable termination systems, which include all bonding, clamping, fiber optics, and grounding; and reading and interpreting technical drawings.

JOB SITE: Position reports to 700 Industrial Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. May live anywhere in the U.S. with travel to various unanticipated locations.
