Position Overview:
+ We are looking for 2 certified and experienced electrical technicians (preferably High Voltage) from either the wind or other similar industries, that are interested in joining the High Voltage Team within Offshore Wind Turbine Construction. SGRE will develop candidates into HV Safety Quality Specialists for wind turbine installation and commissioning, however experience as authorized person or senior authorized person is highly desired.
+ We are currently looking for technicians with a home country based out of the USA (North America). You may be deployed to projects Worldwide (US, EU and APAC) as per the business requirements. You will follow a shift pattern of 4:4, 3:3 or 2:2 and therefore a flexible approach to travel and working away from home on a continuing basis is essential.
+ The role will provide you with lots of variety, learning and development opportunities along with an exceptional team culture which extends across 7 countries.
+ Relocation will not be offered for this role
Responsibilities :
+ HV technicians (SQS) and authorized persons are dedicated and accountable for the HV installation, commissioning, and energization of wind turbine projects in line with safety guidelines, project requirements, corporate methods, and industry legislative standards.
+ High Voltage Technicians who are classed as Safety Quality Specialists are accountable for the support of High Voltage trainees on site. Aiding in their on-the-job training, and ensuring they adhere to the procedures on site for safety and quality. They will also be accountable for assessing the competency of the trainee (on the job) to be signed off as a competent High Voltage Technician.
+ To implement, instruct, train and ensure safety cultures and behaviors within the role and your team. Working across all project execution environments including preassembly, installation and commissioning, your accountibilities will include HV cable, terminations, testing commissioning of associated HV equipment and energization of wind turbines.
+ Following a period of further training and evaluation you will also implement HV switching procedures, keeping, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work activities undertaken according to company policy is essential.
+ The role demands a high level of focus and attention to detail at all times.
+ Ability to consistently deliver the quality product that our customers rightly demand.
+ This role is also accountable for training, mentoring, and guiding with trainees and colleagues alike.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience and Abilities
+ Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver’s license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic DMV checks of their license.
+ Highly Experienced High Voltage Technician >3yrs (in wind, maritime, industrial, energy/power generation or similar industries), or highly experienced electrical technician within the wind industry >5yrs.
+ Must be electrically skilled minimum 3yrs apprenticeship and qualifications plus experience
+ High School Diploma required
+ Candidates must be “electrically skilled” and will have the appropriate electrical industry training and qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or higher, C&G 2357, Elektrotechnikermeister or equivalent (in line with EN-50110-1). Internal candidates must be electrically nominated.
+ You will preferably have vast wind turbine industry experience and experience working with med-high voltage systems and procedures.
+ Fluency in the English language, both spoken and written.
+ 100% Travelling required
+ A high level of health and safety focus with experience of working with safe systems of work.
+ The ability to work as part of a team and/or on own initiative and also have the ability and confidence to work at height.
+ You will be comfortable and experienced working in adverse weather conditions.
+ You will be a strong communicator with proven ability to successfully interact at various levels in an organisation and where necessary taking into account the different cultures.
+ You will also have a high level of IT literacy and ability to use various applications to back you in your role.

Compensation:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Inc., it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $53,000 - $79,000.
