Who You Are:
Versar Global Solutions is seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician II.
What You’ll Do:
Performs landscape maintenance duties, such as:Mowing, weed eating, edging, and blowingHerbicide application and weed controlTree trimming and pruningLitter, debris, and roadkill removalSpring and Fall clean-upHurricane season preparation and post-storm clean-upCleans and grades stormwater and drainage ditches, road shoulders, and slopesPerforms general maintenance repair and installation functions related to:Fences and boundariesSignage (speed limit / exit ramp / yield, etc.)Guardrails and attenuatorsPotholes and asphaltConcrete and sidewalksGraffiti removalPressure washingLighting (overhead traffic lights and signage illumination)Bridge and overpass structuresPerforms Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)Temporary traffic control to support first responders and accident victims with lane closures/flaggingConducts pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and work site inspectionsPerforms maintenance on company vehicles or equipmentDrives company trucks, towing trailers and rolling arrow boardsLogs maintenance work-order information and checklists manually and electronicallyLoads and unloads equipment, supplies, tools, and materialUses all equipment safelyPerforms other duties as requiredWhat You’ll Bring:
18+ years of ageValid Florida Driver’s License1+ year of experience working in roadway operations or relatable field, such as construction, utilities, landscaping, etc.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularlyAbility to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of timeAbility to effectively communicate with managers and coworkers in EnglishWillingness to work multiple shifts and varying hours, including nights, weekends, and overtimeAbility to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditionsAbility to work along local roadways, interstates, and/or highways with commuter traffic passing by at varying rates of speedAbility to adhere to on-call schedule as necessaryObtain MOT certificate (coursework and certification paid for by Versar Global Solutions)Must be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start dateSuccessful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), and drug screenPreferred Qualifications:

The position will primarily work onsite in Jensen Beach, FL.
Compensation
Expected Salary: $18/hr - $24/hr
