A career-minded Highway engineer, looking towards advancement, is needed to join JMT's Highways Team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The selected candidate will become part of an established team of engineers working on exciting, high profile, complex, and impactful transportation projects. They will be responsible for engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Design and Oversee plans, estimates and specifications for compliance with FDOT, Florida's Turnpike, and other county guidelines and standards Develop construction documents including all aspects of highway and site design (geometrics, details, ADA criteria, roadway profiles, utility design and coordination, pavement markings, and maintenance and protection of traffic, signage) Perform design computations Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines Prepare proposals as required Attend meetings with clients Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established qualityNonessential Functions and Responsibilities
