Highway Project Manager

Join our team of dedicated professionals as a Highway Project Manager in Lehigh Valley, PA. In this leadership role, you will oversee the planning, design, and delivery of complex highway projects, ensuring high-quality results that exceed client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

               · Manage all aspects of transportation projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality

               · Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

               · Demonstrate effective communication skills to project team members, clients and review agencies

               · Proactively identify and resolve project risks and challenges

Highway Design & Engineering:

               · Oversee the design of roadways, interchanges, pavement systems, and associated infrastructure

               · Prepare Roadway Construction Plans

               · Prepare Signing and Pavement Marking Plans

               · Prepare Traffic Control Plans

               · Prepare Right-of-Way Plans

               · Project specifications in accordance with PennDOT Pub. 408

               · Coordinate with utility companies to identify and resolve potential conflicts

               · Conduct QA/QC reviews and seal plans and reports as necessary

               · Coordinate design of Traffic and Structure related aspects of projects 

               · Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards

               · Review and approve design documents, calculations, and reports

               · Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews to maintain project standards

Construction Oversight:

               · Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for highway construction projects

               · Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders during construction phases

               · Monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to project plans and safety standards

               · Coordinate with utility companies and manage permit compliance

Requirements

  

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil EngineeringCommonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineering license5+ years of technical competency and project experience including:

               o Highway construction plans

               o Highway occupancy permits

               o Highway drainage design

               o Pavement design

               o Right-of-way plans

               o Maintenance and protection of traffic

               o PENNDOT projects

Proficient with Microstation/Inroads/OpenRoads (preferred) and AutoCAD Civil 3D Project management systems such as Deltek Vantagepoint, and Microsoft Office Suite knowledgeClient-focused leader and team player with strong budgeting, communication, planning, and organizational skillsFlexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary (Valid U.S. Driver’s license)Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
