Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Primary Responsibilities include working as a key member of a hydraulic/ water resource design team, serving as a task lead/project engineer on small to large projectsExpected to provide leadership support for project delivery and business developmentThe Transportation Business Group is active in the aviation, transit, freight rail, highway and local roads, and federal market sectors.Include preparation of hydraulic design work using local or national standards: hydrology and hydraulic analysis, scour assessments, roadway drainage design, Hydraulic Reports, erosion and sediment pollution control, stormwater management design, NPDES and Waterway Permits.Preparing Contour Grading and Drainage Plans, Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Plans, Drainage Profiles, and Post-Construction Stormwater Management PlansAssist with preparing Specifications and Construction Cost EstimatesAssist preparing scopes, budgets and schedules including day to day communication (verbal and written) with the client,Support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants and keep the project on schedule and within budget, and perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil, Enivronmental, Transportation or Structural Enginering or a related field5 years of transportation engineering design experience requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license.Demonstrated leadership and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft OfficeGood verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

HEC-RAS and/or SRH-2D river modeling experience preferredArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS experience is preferredExperience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, InRoads, and OpenRoads Designer focused on storm water design and analysis preferred.
