Highway Services Leader

Freese and Nichols is seeking a Highway Services Leader in North Texas.  As Highway Services Leader , you would provide strategic guidance and technical leadership for highway services across Texas.  Our multidisciplinary firm will support you in this position with multiple established transportation groups, a national practice of transportation experts, a strong backlog of work, and an extensive network of client relationships. You would focus on expanding our transportation work across the DOT, municipal, and county markets in Texas by assisting with overall strategy, guiding teams on excellent quality work, developing staff, and growing client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support Texas-wide delivery of highway services through technical leadership and collaboration in schematic/environmental, PS&E, bridge, and CEI workServe state DOT and transportation agencies by identifying needs and developing solutions through all phases of project planning, design, and constructionAssist with transportation planning and project development for counties and municipalities, including bond programs, corridor development, and fundingServe as a senior advisor by providing mentorship, guidance, coaching, and technical expertise to transportation professionals across multiple projects.Assist with strategic planning of the firm’s transportation market approachMaintain contact with key clients to understand upcoming needs, trends, and issues, and develop solutions  to meet those needsLead major projects as a senior project manager from the earliest pursuit stages through the entire project life cyclePerform high level quality control reviews in conjunction with project teamsCoordinate across groups to innovatively deliver projects

QualificationsBachelor’s degreeTexas Professional Engineer (PE) licenseDemonstrated experience in DOT-related work
