**Job Description:**
**Highway Signage / Marking Design Engineer**
**Dubai, UAE**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of highway signage / marking engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining signage strategies, establishing the work scope, preparing signage / marking drawings and schedules, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
+ Typical products will include detailed drawings, schedules, calculations, quantity take-offs, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
+ Provides support for other highway engineering activities as design of road layouts, profiles, corridor modelling, BIM 3D design etc. May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.

+ May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
+ Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation engineering from a recognized University.
+ Minimum 5+ years of highway design with focus on signage & marking work experience. In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
+ Proficiency in utilizing AutoDesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bentley Microstation is essential and preferably Bentley OpenRoads.
+ Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
+ Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
+ Excellent knowledge in utilizing Civil 3D is required.
