As part of the Highways Client and Contract team, you'll:

Manage customer interface platforms such as Fix My Street to enable customers to report faults and stay informed on the progress of works. Leading on improvement projects through engaging with colleagues across the service to identify ways we can improve our processes and systems to support a better customer experience. Develop and implement a customer liaison strategy for highways with support from colleagues across the service. Develop and manage messaging and content provided through external platforms to customers. Ensure our customer service centre have up to date information to support customers who contact us in relation to the highways service. Enable self-service for stakeholders by ensuring relevant, up-to-date content in relation to the service is available on the website. Attend events and engage with stakeholders to promote the service and identify ways we can improve.

 

About the team

You will be joining a small friendly team that has the benefit of working with colleagues from across the Highways Service as well as with the management teams from our contractors.

We work in a hybrid way, dividing our time between working from Lancaster House in Lincoln, and working remotely. Occasional travel to other offices, depots and events may be required, so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

About You

We're looking for someone who excels in communication, both verbal and written, and diplomacy, tact, and political awareness will be critical.

If you have a passion for improving customer experience this is the role for you.  You will need to be organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong IT skills are essential, as you'll be using various software and tools.

Collaboration is key in our team, so we need someone who enjoys working with others, values diverse perspectives, and can contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
