Statement of Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Director of Health Information Management, the Operations Manager supervises, coordinates, and manages the operational functions of the Health Information Management Department to include Birth Registry, File Area, Release of Information, Discharge Assembly/Analysis, Incomplete Records, Transcription, and the Document Imaging System.  Provides functional direction to Coding and the Cancer Registry as necessary and/or in the absence of the Director, Health Information Management or Coding Manager.  The Operations Manager performs personnel functions required to maintain a positive and productive team in the Health Information Management Department.

Qualifications:
Education:  High School Diploma required.  Medical Records Degree preferred
Certification / License:  RHIA, RHIT, CCS preferred
Experience:  2-3 years progressive experience in a Health Information Management Department
