Position TitleHIM Outpatient Surgery/Ambulatory Coding Education/AuditorRemote, Southlake CampusPosition Summary / Career Interest:The HIM Outpatient Surgery/ Ambulatory Coding Education & Training Auditor is responsible for auditing HIM Coders on outpatient/inpatient EHR along with providing feedback and education. This position monitors CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS code changes and performs retrospective audits of these code sets for complex, surgical, and multi-specialty accounts from clinical documentation. The HIM Outpatient Surgery/Ambulatory Coding Education & Training Auditor is responsible for providing support to staff by training on these code sets, to be a resource for coders and leadership regarding appropriate coding and clinical documentation requirements for provider and facility coding and billing, and to lead coding education sessions for HIM staff.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Required:
High school diploma or GEDAt least one of the following certifications is required: CPC, COC, CIC or CCA, COC-A along with a CPMA, CRC, CPC-I, RHIT, or RHIA.4+ years of experience in coding in health care facility or physician office specifically in specialty and surgical coding.EnglishPreferred:
