HIM Revenue Cycle Specialist

This position is considered Hybird and is responsible for coordinating analysis of the daily unbilled and communicating required actions ot the responsible areas for accurate coding and billing of claims. Supervises the HIM Unbilled data and oversees the daily monitoring and reporting of the total unbilled accounts. Collaborates with the AR team in identifying and resolving charge and coding denials/rejections, works closely and assists with financial auditors and SSC Denials Team. Ensures timely and successful communication with centralized coding team and manager regarding bill errors and coding denials. Collaborates with the HIM Director and other hospital departments to ensure throughput of the revenue cycle, communicating charge-related issues with unbilled and corporate/facility audits. Onsite work may be required at times. Works with the HIM dept. on documentation audits for TJC compliance and quality reporting. Assists with the HIM Operations team as needed. Reports to the HIM Director.
