HIM Specialist - FT
Community Health Systems
Retrieves, preps, scans and indexes patient charts/loose documents. Monitors and resolves MPF ques & interfaces. Analyzes charts for completion. Performs coding support functions, resolves BARRT work orders. Trains and works with providers to complete their charts. Notifies medical staff of their incomplete and delinquent charts and facility of suspension updates. Fixes documents in the FFT que. Merges duplicate medical record numbers. Assists with Emprint forms and completes discharge disposition audits. Processes birth certificate and acknowledgement of paternity documents. Grants patient portal access and answers patient questions regarding the portal. Matches and incorporates incoming continuity of care documents.
Required: High School Diploma or GED
