HIPAA Compliance Officer **Cottingham & Butler/ SISCO** 1 Positions ID: 4056754008 Posted On 09/18/2024 **Job Overview** We are seeking a dedicated HIPAA Compliance Officer to ensure that C&B’s operations comply with government HIPAA regulations. This role involves overseeing processes and procedures to effectively minimize or eliminate risk across all corporate departments in relation to HIPAA. **Essential Functions:** + Develop and implement HIPAA manuals outlining company-wide policies and procedures. + Establish and document privacy and security policies. + Execute Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with clients, vendors, and EDI partners. + Educate clients and staff on HIPAA through regular reviews and updates. + Identify and address risk areas and compliance gaps. + Document and investigate incidents and breaches, taking immediate protective actions. + Implement corrective actions to resolve knowledge or process gaps. + Continuously audit and evaluate HIPAA compliance. + Monitor and update federal and state laws and regulations.
