Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant (3+ yrs in OBGYN) to join our team in a prestigious OBGYN practice

located in Soho, Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical assisting, particularly in an OBGYN setting, and possess strong communication and professional skills.

Responsibilities

·      Greet patients warmly as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.

·      Prep examination rooms thoroughly before each patient visit to maintain a clean and organized environment.

·      Room patients and ensure they are settled and ready for their appointments.

·      Draw blood samples and check patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.

·      Sterilize medical equipment meticulously to ensure all instruments are safe and ready for use.

·      Utilize the EMR system, preferably eClinicalWorks, to accurately document patient information and manage records.

·      Handle triage calls efficiently, assessing patient needs, and directing them to the appropriate care.

·      Perform leeps and other minor procedures as required, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

·      Measure and record manual blood pressure accurately during patient assessments.

 

Essential Skills

·      3 or more years of Medical Assistance experience in an OBGYN office

·      Experience utilizing EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks

·      Proficiency with pap smears, colposcopy, leeps, vitals, and blood draws

·      Strong communication and professional skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
