Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. + **Paid Time Off (PTO) available on Day 1!** + **Options for Free Health Insurance!** **Job Summary** The Histocompatibility Technologist performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties in the assigned laboratory specialty. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory services, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance, test result correlation and clinical laboratory continuing education. **Education and/or Experience** + Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related science from a four-year college or university required, in accordance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations. + 3 years of recent Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) transplant experience preferred. + Willing to consider new graduates. **CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS** + Certification with American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) + Certified Histocompatibility Associate (CHA) required within three years of hire, or + Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) required within two years of hire + Specialty certification from American Society Clinical Sciences (ASCP), American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI), American Society for Microbiology (ASM), National Registry for Certified Chemists (NRCC) or other equivalent agency as appropriate for the assigned area of specialty is preferred. **Work Schedule** + Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm + Rotational call one weekday night and every 4th weekend/holiday + Current 8 hour shfit available with the potential to move to 10 hour shift in the future + Full Time; 80 hours every 2 weeks **Pay** The hourly range for this position is listed below.
