JOB SUMMARY

The Histology Lab Assistant, under the direction of the Histology Supervisor, performs the daily activities of various lab and clerical duties in the histology and cytology lab. This includes assisting in slide making and staining, cover slipping and filing. They will also file blocks and slides. Coordinates surgical and cytological case paperwork and slides for delivery to pathologists. Assists in clerical duties that also include transcription and patient registration. Will assist the pathologists and the histologists in other various duties.
