Job Overview:
Join our dynamic and dedicated team as a Histology Laboratory Supervisor, where you'll lead and inspire excellence in the hospital laboratory setting. This role entails supervising lead technologists, technologists, technicians, lab assistants, and clerical staff to ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities include scheduling, duty assignments, quality control/assurance, equipment maintenance, supply management, and the integration of new procedures and equipment. Collaborate closely with section supervisors to uphold standardization and efficiency across the lab. You’ll also serve as a vital connection between staff, management, and customers, ensuring high-quality service and productivity. Step into the manager's role when needed, making impactful decisions that support the department’s success.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent experience. Certification in M.T.(ASCP), C.T.(ASCP), H.T.(ASCP) or an equivalent certification is required. Expertise in handling personnel issues is highly desirable. Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in allied health within a CAP-accredited laboratory. Previous leadership experience in a hospital laboratory environment is a strong advantage.Responsibilities:
Optimize resource utilization including personnel, equipment, and consumables to maximize efficiency. Assist with budget preparation, staffing projections, and supply management. Ensure compliance with standards from JCAHO, CAP, OSHA, AABB, and CLIA 88. Monitor and maintain the accuracy, precision, and integrity of laboratory data. Oversee quality control, proficiency surveys, and instrument maintenance/repairs. Communicate effectively with management regarding personnel, equipment, and process improvements, while providing updates to employees about policies and procedures. Foster a positive and motivated work environment by employing team-building techniques, delegating responsibilities, and encouraging career growth among staff. Stay informed about industry advancements and pursue continuous education. Recommend capital equipment purchases and oversee construction/renovation projects as necessary.Why Join Us?
