**Histology Technician** Department: KL Anatomic Pathology **Location:** Rehab & Pathology Location of Job: US:NY:Williamsville Work Type: Full-Time **Scheduled Work Hours:** 10p-6a; 11p-7a; 12a-8a Shift 3 **Job Description** **To receive, order and prepare anatomical, cytological and histological samples for assays, tests, routine and complex procedures, in a prompt, accurate, and reliable manner under review by technologist, supervisor and/or pathologist.** **Education And Credentials** AA or AS in a Certified Histological Technician program or Medical technology program required. Lab Technician LP, or Histological Technician LP, or Lab Technician within 9 Months, or Lab Technologist within 9 months, or Histological Technician within 9 Months required. Histological Technician (ASCP)within 2 years upon hire required. NYS DOE-Clinical Laboratory Technician, Certified Histological Technician, or Lab Technologist license required OR lab technician or histological technician limited permit required not necessarily prior to hire, however prior to starting.
