ATTRIBUTES
Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related fieldNew York State Department of Education License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Certified Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician requiredOne (1) to three (3) years of prior experience preferredStrong analytical, computer and communication skillsExcellent attention to detailRESPONSIBILITIES
Coding. Demonstrate working knowledge of Anatomic Pathology Information System, including ability to accurately assess specimens; prepare surgical and autopsy specimens for histologic examination; process tissue and cut consistently high-quality tissue sections; work with glass slides and stainingEquipment Management. Help maintain histology laboratory equipment (processors, stainers, etc.)Leadership & Collaboration. Assist in training new histology personnel and medical technology students; work cooperatively with all department personnel to facilitate prompt and accurate specimen diagnosesEDUCATION:
