HIV Services Coordinator

**Job Purpose Statement:** Reporting to the practice administrator and program director, the HIV Services Coordinator develops and implements HIV services for the patient population and community served by UCSF Benioff Children¿s Hospital Oakland. **Essential Functions:** + Data Collection and Analysis + Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats. + Reporting, invoicing, maintaining records, projecting program client population, tracking units of service, data entry, budget recommendations, working with a team on grant submissions, understanding the grant requirements and restrictions, working with the Contracts and Grants office, and other various grant requirements. + Maintain statistics on HIV testing, referrals, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) starts/continuation through development of reports. + Project management + Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities. + Coordinate increased HIV/STD/HCV testing at multiple sites within the UCSF Benioff Children¿s Hospital Oakland network + Act as a resource for testing/PrEP navigators in hospital-based clinics and BCH Oakland¿s community sites. + Engage in continuous quality improvement projects using recognized tools/methods to monitor progress (PDSA, etc.). + Participate in and contribute to local, regional, national meetings through submission of abstracts of innovative testing/engagement strategies. + Policies and Procedures Development + Support stakeholder engagement by arranging meetings, events, and other stakeholder engagement activities; or by participating in these activities. + Identify processes and create policies and procedures for communicating positive and negative results to clients and coordinating linkage to care for HIV treatment or HIV prevention services. + Operations Planning + Contribute to the development of annual plans; contribute with developing business cases for key activities/projects and with estimating the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets. + Network and attend meetings with HIV Community Based Organizations to improve services for youth living with and at risk for HIV. + Increase awareness of HIV through coordinating hospital events and participating in community events + Other duties as assigned **People Leadership Responsibilities:** This role does not have any formal people leadership responsibilities, but the incumbent may be expected to train or mentor new or more junior colleagues. **Financial Responsibilities:** May be assigned tracking and reporting responsibilities for an established annual budget. **Technical Knowledge** + Knowledge of HIV diagnosis and programmatic components + Ability to write and submit comprehensive grant applications. + Excellent computer skills working with Word, XLS, PowerPoint + Ability to perform data analysis and use graphic modalities for data presentation + Ability and confidence to conduct presentations on the topic of HIV. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to represent the program and hospital at community events in a professional manner. **Minimum Education:** Bachelor¿s Degree in a health or social services field. **Minimum Experience:** + Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical/administrative experience in social service, health-related organization, or medical office/clinic. + Previous HIV knowledge. **Additional Minimum Requirements:** CA State Certified HIV/HCV Test Counselor preferred. **Physical Requirements:** + Sit: up to 6 hours/day + Stand/Walk: up to 6 hours + Bends/Stoop: Up to 3 hours + Reach: Up to 3 hours + Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs + Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25 lbs with assistance or equipment. + This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction.
