HME Assistant

We are seeking a new full-time team member to join our Home Medical Equipment office. To be successful in this job, you will need genuine warmth and patience for people, excellent communication skills, and a passion for accuracy.    

At the Home Medical office as an HME Assistant you will be responsible for communicating with patients regularly to keep them informed on the status of their claim, accounts receivable, ordering and stocking inventory, speaking with doctors and nurses over the phone, cleaning returned rental equipment and measuring patients for compression stockings.

Required Skills:
•    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
•    Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
•    Must possess strong communication skills
•    Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge
•    Must be detail oriented, organized and be able to prioritize
•    Process basic financial functions for patient payment processing


Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years of customer service experience required
Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

Position Details:
1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week
Day shift
Weekdays only
