Job Description:

Health Management Information System:

Assist HMIS Officer to attend the HMIS sub-committee meeting in DoPH.Travel to the different districts targeted by WV health and nutrition programming and support the staff on proper using of the HMIS tools, HMIS feedback and timely reporting.Assist the HMIS officer to supportive supervision of the Static Health Facilities, FHHs and other level of health service delivery points support by WV health and nutrition programming.Assist HMIS Officer on collecting the weekly report on Nutrition and DEWS to health and nutrition cluster on weekly basis.Assist HMIS Officer on collecting the accurate data and enter to the specific database (HMIS, National Nutrition Database, and World Vision CMAM database and report hub).Proper filing of the hard and soft copy of the health and nutrition reports.Provide HMIS form and registration books to all targeted health facilities.Assist to Maintain and update the database of HMIS/DHIS2.To assist the provincial management team in ensuring that provincial planning based on accurate and updated information.Any assigned role by supervisor.

Liaison and advisory:

In consultation with HMIS officer attend HMIS sub-committee meetings

Adhere to WV Child and Adult Safeguarding policy and standards.Adhere to WV accountability standards.To be aware and prepared to implement WV Afghanistan Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs plan under the context of emergency health and nutrition interventions.Assisting health sector lead to ensure that proper community development practices and “Do No Harm” practices are incorporated and upheld throughout the planning and implementation of the project.

Required Professional Experience

At least 4 years’ experience in implementing of health and nutrition programs.Ability to engage with different stakeholders and partners in the project site.  Must have good attention to details, all work must be checked.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and

certification

Any university bachelor's degree is requirement.HMIS training certificate is requirement and National Nutrition Database certificate preferred.

Preferred Knowledge

and Qualifications

Knowledge on Basic Package of health services, Nutrition and Health in Emergency response programming.

Familiarity with the WHO, UNICEF and MoPH data gathering tools and databases is preferred.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

Travel to the health and nutrition related project sites.

Physical Requirements

Office space, laptop, means for supervision

Dari with intermediate English
