POSITION: Hockey Instructor -- P/T Hourly
REPORTS TO: Hockey Coordinator

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Hockey Instructor at the McFetridge Sports Center. The Hockey Instructor is responsible for assisting and/or running beginner, intermediate and advanced tennis lessons for kids and adults at the McFetridge Sports Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Assist and/or lead hockey lessons and be able to teach basic learn to skate hockey and learn to play hockey skills at the discretion of the hockey coordinator

Monitor proper use of equipment

Assist in the planning and organization of lessons

Provide patrons with the proper techniques needed to succeed in the development of their hockey skills

Provide a safe and fun environment that promotes the sport for exercise and enjoyment

SKILLS REQUIRED

Position requires ability to:

Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.

Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

Ensuring and following safety measures and regulations.

Ice skating skills and general fitness experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must have previous hockey playing and teaching experience - Must have or be in the process of obtaining a USA hockey coaching certification. Applicant should be able to teach fundamental skating and hockey skills to children ranging in ages 3-15 years old as well as adults. Applicant would have to be available to work weekday, evenings, and weekends.
