What is the role where you will add value?
Home Delivery Service Driver:
The Home Delivery Service Driver is responsible for moving cars from our locations directly to customers. He/she will coordinate with fellow CarShop associates to ensure the safe, timely delivery of customer vehicles.
What will you do when you deliver to our customers?
Load, secure and deliver vehicles to and from customer destination as assigned by management. Operate company and customer owned vehicles in a safe manner, in accordance with posted traffic signs and both state and local ordinances. Comply with all DOT safety regulations and company safety policies. Keep a driver log. Maintain open lines of communication. Communicate any issues or delays for the current run which may affect the timely delivery of vehicles. Model company culture and values while performing work so that customers witness first-hand the teamwork and value we provide with excellent service and products. Be familiar with the processes and paperwork necessary to complete a vehicle sales transaction. Explain all delivery paperwork to customers and answer all questions, including the availability, cost, and benefits of all aftermarket products. Introduce customers to the services provided by our Service Department at delivery and review the operating features of each vehicle. Other assigned duties as delegated by management.What skills do you need?
Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a DOT medical card. Face to face customer service experience preferred Ability to drive long distances on highway or in poor weather conditions, to sit in a vehicle for various periods of time, and to drive and park in a city. Ability to drive various makes and models of vehicles, including manual transmissions. Tolerance to enter cars with extreme interior temperatures. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry materials, equipment and supplies of varying weights.
