The Home Health Aide/CNA will perform personal hygiene and grooming services, household care and provision of nutrition. This position will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist

Community Health at Home Now Hiring Fulltime Home Health Aide/CNA - Service Area -Hamilton, Madison, Marion, Hancock Counties!

The purpose of the Home Health Aide is to perform personal hygiene and grooming services, household care and provision of nutrition. This position will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist.

Performs or assists patient with personal hygiene which may include/is not limited to: bathing, showering, oral hygiene, hair care, nail care, shaving and/or dressing/undressing. Performs catheter care and empties urinary catheter, bed pans and colostomy bags. Collects and labels urine specimen.Performs and documents vitals. Other permissible duties under special circumstances where permitted by state regulation may include household duties, an understanding of necessary communication skills for the proper care of patients.Obtains a minimum of 12 in-service hours per calendar yearDemonstrates sensitivity to patient and/or family needs, customs or feelings.Arrives at scheduled time and completes assignments.Grooming and overall appearance is acceptable.Completes and submits all required documentation in a timelyDemonstrates sensitivity to patient and/or family needs, customs or feelings.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.Successful completion of a competency evaluation program.One year home health aide, patient tech or other related experience and/or passes CHI Health at Home’s competency evaluation program (Medicare regulation).Must obtain and maintain CPR or BLS certified.Successful completion of all competency testing.Ability to understand written plans, execute instructions, and document services delivered.
